Save the Date: May 17, 2025 – Be a Hero, Donate Blood

FullGospel Global Community Church (FGCC) is proud to announce our upcoming blood donation drive in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross. This life-saving event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN at our church premises. We invite all eligible donors from our congregation and local community to participate in this important cause.

Why Blood Donation Matters

Blood donation is a simple yet profound act of compassion that directly saves lives. According to the Philippine Red Cross, one blood donation can save up to three lives. Despite medical advancements, there is no substitute for human blood, making voluntary donations essential for:

  • Emergency trauma care for accident victims
  • Surgical procedures
  • Cancer treatment support
  • Childbirth complications
  • Treatment of blood disorders like anemia and hemophilia
  • COVID-19 convalescent plasma therapy

The need for blood remains constant, but supplies are often critically low. By donating blood, you become an unsung hero to someone in desperate need.

FGCC’s Commitment to Community Health

At FullGospel Global Community Church, we believe in demonstrating God’s love through practical service. This blood donation drive represents our commitment to community health and wellbeing.

“Blood donation is a powerful way to share life and hope with those facing medical crises. It’s a tangible expression of Christ’s sacrificial love.”

What to Expect

First-time donors may feel nervous, but the process is simple and safe:

  3. Quick physical examination (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, hemoglobin test)
  4. The actual blood collection takes only 8-10 minutes

Most donors feel fine after donating blood. The entire process, from registration to recovery, typically takes about an hour.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Despite the easing of pandemic restrictions, we remain committed to everyone’s safety. The event will follow all current health protocols, including:

  • Regular sanitation of donation areas
  • Health screening for all participants
  • Proper spacing between donation beds
  • Medical staff wearing appropriate protective equipment

Community Impact

Last year’s blood donation drive collected 32 units of blood, potentially saving multiples lives. With your help, we aim to exceed 100 units this year!
